From the Ground Up

Growing flowers, gathering community...

A u-pick flower field bustling with blooms, makers, and visitors happily meandering about. This is what I first imagined when given the opportunity to venture into agritourism.

Agritourism, by definition, is any agriculturally based operation or activity that brings visitors to a farm or ranch. It gives those that may not otherwise have the chance to connect with agriculture in a fun, hands-on experience, and we are so looking forward to sharing a bit of flower farming with you this summer.

Beyond the experience of agriculture, I picture a space for the whole community to enjoy. A community space that is conducive to family nights, girl's nights, and even date nights. Everlane Flower Co is on a mission to provide a space where all feel welcome, and all feel that they have activities to enjoy.

When I picture bringing this community space to life, I see vendor booths set up within the u-pick flower field, food trucks lined up along the sides, and seating placed throughout for moments of rest and recharge.

Focusing on the u-pick field, and our first season of welcoming visitors to the farm, we are opening up vendor applications for this season. We anticipate a grand opening in July and will book vendors according to the schedule that the flowers have made for us.

Starting with a blank canvas has felt equal parts exciting and intimidating; Exciting because you are free to create all that you can imagine, and also intimidating for the very same reason... With that in mind, I have given myself grace in this marathon of a daydream. All of the things that I have imagined for the space will take time to bring to life, and that is okay.

While we hoped for a June opening, the flowers simply will not be blooming in time, and, so we will be patient in this first year and learn all that we can to better prepare for the 2024 season.

We are so looking forward to welcoming you all into the flower field soon!

If you have any questions about being a vendor in the flower field, please do not hesitate to ask! I don't believe there are any silly questions when trying to learn. All questions can be emailed to info@everlaneflowerco.com
